What are Portwest Steelite and Compositelite?

They are Portwest's two main safety footwear families. Steelite styles use a steel toe cap. Compositelite styles use a non-metallic composite toe cap, so they are lighter and pass through metal detectors. On our pages most Portwest names start with Steel or Composite, so you can tell at a glance.

Which Portwest boots are S3?

A large part of the boot range is rated S3, S3S or S3L, and the rating is part of every Portwest product name. S3 has a steel midsole, S3S and S3L a non-metallic one. For whole-boot water resistance look for the S7, S7S and S7L boots. The rating links above the products sort the range for you.
