Our guide to the Portwest Steel Leather Welted Ankle Boot SB HRO

The FW17 is a Goodyear welted ankle boot in full grain leather with a steel toecap, rated SB with HRO. SB is the baseline marking: a 200 joule toecap that guards against impact and compression, with no penetration-resistant midsole or water-resistant upper in the rating. HRO means the outsole resists heat by contact up to 300 C. It suits work where toe protection and hot surfaces underfoot are the main risks.
