The dealer boot is the great British site boot: pull it on, kick it off, no laces to snag, fray or work loose. Each dealer boot states its own rating on its product page, and most add penetration-resistant midsole protection. Ratings across the collection run from S1 for dry indoor work up to S3 and waterproof classes for outdoor ground, so the pull-on convenience never has to come at the cost of protection.
Elasticated side gussets and front and rear pull loops mean no laces at all: on in one motion at the door, off just as fast at the end of the shift. Dealer boots take their name from the livestock dealers who wore them at market, and the design has barely needed to change since: a plain leather upper, twin elastic gussets and a profile that slips under a work trouser. What has changed is what is inside. Today's safety dealer boot carries the same 200 joule toecap and midsole protection as a lace-up site boot, and brands have made the style their own, from the Goodyear welted classics that Amblers Safety has built for decades to modern takes from Caterpillar, Apache, Hunter and Helly Hansen, including recycled-leather and fully non-metallic builds.
Fit matters more with a dealer boot than any other style, because the gusset does the work laces would normally do.
