Safety footwear certified to EN ISO 20345
Makita Workwear brings the tool brand's site reputation to safety footwear. The range is compact and clearly organised: the Osaka, Anjo and Kyoto are full-grain nubuck work boots with a waterproof membrane and a composite toecap and midsole, rated S7S under EN ISO 20345:2022, and the Kobe is a lightweight composite-toe safety trainer in men's and women's sizes. We list {inStock} Makita styles ready to order, each with its own rating on its product page.
The Osaka, Anjo and Kyoto are rated S7S: S3-level protection with the whole boot tested waterproof (WR) and a non-metallic penetration-resistant midsole. Built for wet sites, groundwork and outdoor trades.
Every Makita boot uses a composite toecap and midsole, so it stays lighter than a steel equivalent, does not conduct cold and passes through metal detectors.
The Kobe is a lace-up composite-toe safety trainer with a cushioned dual-density sole and reflective detailing, in men's UK 7 to 12 and a dedicated women's fit in UK 4 to 7.
6 Makita styles available, including the Origin work sock, so a full site setup can be ordered together.

Makita is best known for power tools, and its workwear range is built for the same people: tradespeople who spend the day on site and want kit that looks the part and holds up. The three boots share a construction. Full-grain nubuck leather uppers over a waterproof membrane keep feet dry, a composite toecap and composite midsole give 200 joule impact protection and penetration resistance without any metal in the boot, and a dual-density sole with a breathable lining handles long days on hard ground. The Osaka, Anjo and Kyoto differ in colour and styling, so choose on looks and pick the rating with confidence, because all three carry S7S under EN ISO 20345:2022. Our safety standards guide explains what S7 adds over S3, and our waterproof safety boots collection groups every fully waterproof style we carry.
The Kobe safety trainer is the lighter option for warehouse, workshop, delivery and indoor site work, with a composite toecap, a secure lace system, a cushioned sole and reflective trim. It is one of the few safety trainers offered in a dedicated women's fit as well as men's sizes. Check the rating on each product page before ordering, because the trainers carry a different rating from the boots and the right choice depends on your site rules. For lighter non-metallic options across other brands see our metal-free safety footwear collection, for the wider trainer range see our safety trainers collection, and for women's fits see our women's safety trainers collection. If you are between sizes, our size and fit guide covers how Makita footwear fits against other brands. Where a Makita boot qualifies for VAT relief, the price shown on its product page already reflects it, and our VAT-free safety boots page explains the rules.
