Bobcat

Bobcat Safety Footwear

Bobcat builds work footwear around a lightweight composite toe cap and the patented Redbacks Leaf-Spring cushioning system, so you get full toe protection without the weight of a steel cap. The range runs from the Akron and Rockford safety trainers through to the Dakota and Melroe work boots and the Duluth rigger, with waterproof S7L models for wet and outdoor work. Every Bobcat style we list is certified to EN ISO 20345:2022.

Composite toe, lighter on the foot

Every Bobcat style carries a non-metallic composite toe cap rather than steel, cutting weight while meeting the 200-joule impact protection required by EN ISO 20345:2022. Across the 17 styles available, that means all-day comfort on long shifts without trading away protection.

Redbacks Leaf-Spring cushioning

Bobcat insoles use the patented Redbacks Leaf-Spring system, a sprung support that absorbs shock at the heel and returns energy through the step. It is engineered to reduce fatigue across the feet, knees and back, which is what sets the range apart from a standard work trainer.

Waterproof S7L models for the wet

The Omaha, Fargo, Granite and Duluth rigger are rated S7L: fully waterproof, with a heat-resistant outsole and scuff cap for site, groundwork and outdoor trades. Drier-underfoot work is covered by the S3S trainers and the S3L Virginia dealer boot.

Trainers, boots, riggers and women's fits

The line spans low-cut trainers (Akron, Knox, Rockford, Clinch), ankle and 8-inch boots (Rapid, Toledo, Melroe, Dakota, Omaha, Fargo, Granite), the Virginia dealer boot and the Duluth rigger, with dedicated women's lasts on Akron, Rockford, Clinch and Virginia.

About the Bobcat range

Bobcat footwear is built for trades that want protection without the dead weight of traditional steel safety boots. The headline feature is a composite toe cap on every model, a non-metallic guard that meets the same 200-joule impact rating as steel while shaving grams off each step. Paired with the Redbacks Leaf-Spring cushioning system, the range is aimed squarely at workers who are on their feet all day and feel it by the afternoon.

The safety ratings tell you what each style is built for. S3S models such as the Akron and Rockford trainers and the Dakota and Melroe boots add penetration resistance, an anti-static build, energy absorption at the heel and a fuel-oil-resistant, slip-resistant outsole. The S7L models, the Omaha, Fargo, Granite and the Duluth rigger, take that further with full waterproof protection and a heat-resistant outsole for wet and hot-surface work. The Virginia dealer boot is rated S3L, a hard-wearing pull-on style for quick on-off wear.

Choosing within the range comes down to the job. Pick an S3S trainer for warehouse, logistics and light-industrial work where you want a sporty, breathable shoe. Step up to an S7L boot for groundwork, construction and anything wet underfoot. The Duluth rigger suits agriculture, utilities and quick on-off wear. Every style is certified to EN ISO 20345:2022, and if you are unsure on sizing the size and fit guide walks through fit and width by brand.
