Caterpillar Striver Safety Boots

The Striver is the boot most people picture when they think of a Cat work boot: a chunky injected PU sole, a padded collar and tongue, an energy-absorbing heel and a full grain leather upper that Caterpillar describes as water-resistant. The standard boot, the Mid and the Low all carry S3 under EN ISO 20345, which means a 200 joule toecap, a penetration-resistant midsole, an antistatic build, a water-resistant upper and a cleated outsole. The lace-up boot comes in Black, Brown, Honey and Stone, and the Mid and Low in Black, with a PU injected bump cap over the toe on the Mid and dealer to take the scuffs that wear out the leather first.

The Striver XL is the newer, heavier-duty branch of the family. It keeps the steel toecap and midsole but adds an internal waterproof membrane, a moulded TPU toe guard tested to the new scuff cap (SC) requirement and a TPU heel counter, which is what takes it from S3 to S7 under the 2022 standard. It comes as a 6 inch lace-up in several colourways, an 8 inch boot with a YKK side zip for quick on and off, and a pull-on XL dealer with twin elasticated gussets.
